Bancoldex seeks foreign investment to support Colombian companies

Bancoldex's president Luis Fernando Castro announced the group is looking for foreign private capital to support Colombian companies. The company aims to raise USD 700m, which is double the value of its current assets. From March 2015, the company will start a tour in China, South Korea, Japan and Singapore to look for financial resources. According to Castro, the goal is to have between 76 and 200 multilatinas in Colombia in the next decade.

El presidente de la entidad financiera Bancoldex, Luis Fernando Castro, ha comunicado que el grupo busca capitales privados en el extranjero para apoyar a empresas colombianas. La cifra aproximada que la entidad pretende encontrar alcanza los USD 700m, el doble de su patrimonio actual. A partir de marzo, dicha entidad comenzará una gira por China, Corea del Sur, Japón y Singapur en busca de recursos financieros. Según Castro, la meta para la siguiente década es que Colombia pase de tener 76 multilatinas a 200. |
