Synopsis

The bankrupt estate of Banco BVA, a financial institution based in São Paulo, will split and sell its defaulting credit portfolio, reported Estadão on 17 September 2016.

The company has announced the auction of its bankrupt estate (see related intel), but intends to carry out the division of its defaulting credit portfolio, with the purpose of selling the portfolio immediately, trying to prevent the asset depreciation.

The portfolio is valued at just under 10% of its total value of BRL 2.8bn. The proposal on the table is to reduce by BRL 500m the portfolio to be sold, to settle a lawsuit with Caoa group.
