Banco BIC, controlled by Angolan shareholders and led by Mira Amaral in Portugal, was in Dubai this week to study the acquisition of BES Dubai. BIC made a concrete offer in competition with a foreign bank also interested in BES Dubai. BIC's proposal will be the most favorable, but the deal was stalled. Since BIC Lisboa, from a contractual standpoint, cannot make acquisitions superior to EUR 2m, Angolan entrepreneurs proposed the acquisition of BES Dubai through one of their banks outside Portugal, such as BIC de Cabo Verde.

O Banco BIC, detido por capitais angolanos e liderado em Portugal por Mira Amaral, esteve esta semana no Dubai a estudar a compra do BES Dubai. O BIC fez uma oferta concreta em concorrência com um banco estrangeiro também interessado no BES Dubai. A proposta do BIC será a mais favorável, mas o negócio ficou num impasse. Como o BIC Lisboa não pode, do ponto de vista contratual, fazer aquisições superiores a EUR 2m, os angolanos propuseram comprar o BES Dubai através de um dos seus bancos fora de Portugal, como o BIC de Cabo Verde, por exemplo. |
