BMG, a musical producer based in Berlin, announced its entry in Brazil, as published by the company through a press release on 31 May 2016, citing its new Managing Director for Brazil, John Telfer.

According to the company, this move follows the acquisition of music publisher Basement Brazil's assets. Basement's founder, John Telfer, will be the Managing Director of the new BMG Brasil, to be based in Sao Paulo.

"The launch of BMG Brasil is one of the most important events of recent years in the Brazilian music market. I am thoroughly impressed with the size, infrastructure and scope that BMG reached in such a short time. A BMG, produtora musical com sede em Berlim, anunciou que está para lançar sua própria operação no Brasil, segundo publicou a empresa em comunicado no dia 31 de maio de 2016, citando o novo Managing Director da nova BMG Brasil, John Telfer.

Segundo a empresa, a ação segue a aquisição dos ativos da editora musical Basement Brazil. O fundador da Basement, John Telfer, irá ocupar o cargo de Managing Director da nova BMG Brasil, que vai ter sede em São Paulo.
