Avianca Holding (BVC:AVT; NYSE:AVH), a Panama-based holding of airlines Avianca and Taca, is seeking strategic alliances and rules out that the company is for sale, reported Reuters Latin America on 16 June, 2016, citing chairman of the board and majority shareholder of the company, Germán Efromovich. Efromovich noted the aim of talks the company has with other airlines is the search of a faster and more sustained growth. He added a strategic alliance would allow Avianca to renew its fleet in shorter periods and with more efficient planes. Specifically, in early June reports arose which noted several airlines were interested in acquiring part of the company (see related intel).

Avianca Holding (BVC:AVT; NYSE:AVH), holding panameño de las aerolíneas Avianca y Taca, se encuentra buscando alianzas estratégicas y descarta que esté a la venta, ha publicado Reuters América Latina el 16 de junio de 2016, citando al presidente de la junta y accionista mayoritario de la empresa, Germán Efromovich. Efromovich ha señalado que las conversaciones que matiene la empresa con otras aerolíneas tienen como objetivo la búsqueda de un crecimiento más rápido y sostenible. Ha añadido que una alianza estratégica le permitiría a Avianca renovar la flota en periodos más cortos y con aviones más eficientes.
