Kuwait-based Al-Badder Group plans to invest USD 1.5bn in an agro-industrial project for sugarcane production in Mozambique, to manufacture ethanol, as announced by the company's CEO Ali Mahmoud and published by newspaper Macau-Hub on 28 May 2015.

This project will be developed in Massingir, Gaza province, and should start within the next three months.

Ali Mahmoud said the projects the company plans to develop in Mozambique are valued at USD 26bn.

A Al-Bader Group pretende investir USD 1,5bi em projeto agro-industrial de produção de cana-de-açúcar em Moçambique, com vista à produção de etanol, anunciou quarta-feira, em Maputo, o diretor executivo da empresa do Kuwait, Ali Mahmoud, ao jornal MacauHub em 28 de maio de 2015.

O projeto seria desenvolvido no distrito de Massingir, no interior da província meridional de Gaza, devendo ter início dentro de três meses.

O diretor executivo da Al Bader afirmou que a carteira total de projetos que a empresa tenciona desenvolver em Moçambique está avaliada em USD 26bi.
