General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) podría presentar una oferta para adquirir el grupo de energía eólica español Adwen Offshore el 24 de agosto, según ha informado Reuters el 22 de agosto de 2016, basándose en fuentes consultadas por la propia agencia.

Adwen, una joint venture entre Gamesa (BME: GAM) y Areva (EPA: AREVA), mantendría bloqueada la operación de fusión entre Gamesa y la división de renovables de Siemens (ETR: SIE) (ver transacción relacionada). Por ello, Gamesa podría haber llegado a ofrecer a Areva la ruptura de su alianza en la joint venture, mediante la compra o la venta a su socio del 50% de la participación (ver intels relacionados).

Sin embargo, bajo los términos del acuerdo de adquisición de Siemens con Gamesa, Areva tendría hasta mediados de septiembre para buscar un comprador alternativo.

General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) may submit a bid to acquire Adwen Offshore, a Spain-based wind energy group, on 24 August 2016, reported Reuters on 22 August 2016, citing sources familiar.

Adwen, a joint venture between Gamesa (BME:GAM) and Areva (EPA:AREVA), is blocking the merger process between Gamesa and Siemens' (ETR:SIE) renewable energy division. Consequently, Gamesa may have offered to break the joint venture with Areva through the acquisition or sale of 50% of the equity (see related intel).

However, under the terms of the acquisition agreement of Siemens with Gamesa, Areva may have until mid-September to find an alternative buyer.
