Frysk industrial, a Brazil-based food company in Bahia, owned by Aurantiaca, started exporting Obrigado coconut water to the Netherlands and the United States, according to Valor on July 11, 2016, citing Roberto Lessa, the Vice president of Aurantiaca group. In June 2016, the group began to export the brand Obrigado to the United States and the Netherlands, the report noted. The group informed that has also opened offices in Los Angeles and Amsterdam to negotiate the coconut water sales directly with local retailers.
