El consorcio formado por las compañías Cellnex Telecom (BME: CLNX) y F2i podría ser el principal candidato para adquirir el 45% de la compañía italiana Wireless Italiane (Inwit) (BIt: INW) que Telecom Italia (BIt: TIT) tiene en venta, según ha señalado Reuters el 22 de enero de 2016. La compañía española y su socio italiano podrían ofrecer entre EUR 4,35 y EUR 4,5 por acción. Por otro lado, la compañía italiana EI Towers (BIt: EIT) y la estadounidense American Tower (NYSE: AMT) también podrían haber presentado ofertas no vinculantes para la adquisición de la participación en Inwit.
