Los bancos argentinos interesados en adquirir la banca minorista de Citibank Argentina habrían ofrecido entre USD 180m y USD 250m por el negocio, ha publicado La Nación el 29 de junio de 2016.

Según lo publicado, las entidades que habrían quedado en la carrera son el Banco Macro (BCBA:BMA), Banco de Galicia, HSBC Argentina, BBVA Francés (BCBA:FRAN) y Banco Santander Río (BCBA:BRIO), y un grupo de empresarios encabezados por Juan Bruchou, presidente de Citibank Argentina entre 2002 y 2013, que se ha asociado con el banco peruano Grupo Interbank.

Los bancos que no han continuado en el proceso serían HSBC Argentina, Banco Itaú Argentina, Grupo Supervielle (BCBA:SUPV) y ICBC Argentina (ver Intels relacionados).

Citigroup (NYSE:C) ya habría abierto el data room a los bancos interesados, que deberían presentar ofertas definitivas antes del 25 de julio, de acuerdo con la información.

The Argentina-based banks interested in acquiring the retail banking of Citibank Argentina are said to have bid between USD 180m and USD 250m for the business, reported La Nación on 29 June, 2016.

According to the report, the entities still bidding are Banco Macro (BCBA:BMA), Banco de Galicia, HSBC Argentina, BBVA Francés (BCBA:FRAN) y Banco Santander Río (BCBA:BRIO), a group of businesspeople led by Juan Bruchou, the president of Citibank Argentina between 2002 and 2013, partnered with Peru-based bank, Grupo Interbank.

The banks that did not continue in the process would be HSBC Argentina, Banco Itaú Argentina, Grupo Supervielle (BCBA:SUPV), and ICBC Argentina (see related intel).

Citigroup (NYSE:C) already opened the data room to the interested bidders, which should submit definitive bids before 25 July, the report stated.
