Baidu, a Chinese search engine, launched the venture capital Easterly Ventures focused on the Brazilian market, reported Startupi on 27 September 2016, citing the Country Manager of Baidu Brazil, Yan Di. Easterly Ventures, based in São Paulo, starts with an initial capital of USD 60m to invest in Brazilian startups. The venture capital aims to invest and transfer technology, mobile traffic and international expertise for startups.
