Axtel (BMV:AXTEL), prestadora mexicana de servicios de telecomunicaciones, está interesada en participar de la licitación de la red compartida mayorista tras la materialización de su fusión con la mexicana Alestra (ver transacción relacionada), citando al copresidente de la empresa, Tomás Milmo. Milmo ha señalado que esta licitación le dará la posibilidad a Axtel de entrar en el mercado de la telefonía móvil. El director general de Axtel, Rolando Zubirán, también ha señalado que la empresa está analizando las bases y la manera de participar del proceso. La Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes ha publicado las bases de la licitación a fines de enero (ver intel relacionado).

Axtel (BMV:AXTEL), a Mexico-based telecoms services provider, is interested in participating in the wholesale shared network tender, following the closing of its merger with Mexico-based Alestra (see related transaction), reported CNN Expansión on 15 February, 2016, citing co-president of the company, Tomás Milmo. Milmo noted the tender will give Axtel the opportunity to enter the mobile telephony market. Axtel managing director, Rolando Zubirán, also noted the company is analyzing the terms and the way it can participate in the process.
