Aguas de Valencia to invest in water-related corporate initiatives

Aguas de Valencia created its own accelerator, with which it plans to select the 10 best entrepreneurial and innovative, national and international projects on water management, as reported by newspaper Valencia Plaza on 10 June 2015. This initiative is part of a typical strategy for a conventional accelerator, since it will not finance selected projects, but will facilitate meetings between entrepreneurs and investors. With this respect, Aguas de Valencia's president, Eugenio Calabuig, said he will participate as an investor. The project is named H2O Challenge and is financed by Aguas de Valencia and supported by IE Business School, Pangea and Impact Hub.

La empresa valenciana Aguas de Valencia ha creado su propia aceleradora de empresas, con la que pretende seleccionar los 10 mejores proyectos emprendedores y de innovación, nacionales e internacionales, sobre la gestión del agua, según ha informado Valencia Plaza el 10 de junio de 2015. La iniciativa no responde estrictamente a las características propias de una aceleradora convencional, ya que no financiará a los proyectos seleccionados, sino que facilitará un encuentro entre emprendedores e inversores. A este respecto, el presidente de Aguas de Valencia, Eugenio Calabuig, ha adelantado que participará como inversor. El proyecto se denomina H2O Challenge y está financiado por Aguas de Valencia y apoyado por IE Business School, Pangea e Impact Hub. |
